Discover the botanical simplicity of Burdock Root Tincture from Terra Mata Botanica. An understated addition to your botanical collection, with burdock root at its heart.
A botanical with a long history
Burdock has a long history in food and herbal traditions across Europe and Asia. In Japan, its root is known as gobo and is a familiar ingredient in traditional cooking, valued for its earthy flavour and firm texture. One well-known preparation is kinpira gobo, a dish of finely cut burdock root, often cooked with carrot.
Beyond the kitchen, burdock has appeared in European herbals and botanical traditions for centuries. Its distinctive hooked burrs, which cling to clothing and animal fur, also inspired the development of hook-and-loop fasteners, better known as Velcro.
This history describes the burdock plant and is not a statement of the effects of this tincture.
