A Taste of the Australian Bush: Kakadu Plum & Lemon Myrtle Honey
Share
At Terra Mata, our love of Australian botanicals reaches beyond the skincare shelf. Our Kakadu Plum & Lemon Myrtle Honey brings that same appreciation for native ingredients to the table, pairing Australian raw honey with two distinctive Australian native foods.
It’s a different way to enjoy the botanical inspiration behind our range: something to savour with breakfast, share over a cheese board, or give to someone who loves exploring Australian flavours.
Native ingredients with deep connections to Country
Kakadu plum has long been valued as a bush food by Aboriginal peoples across northern Australia. Lemon myrtle also has traditional food uses among Aboriginal peoples in parts of eastern Australia.
These ingredients belong to the knowledge and traditions of distinct Aboriginal communities, rather than one single shared tradition. We acknowledge the continuing relationships Aboriginal peoples have with these plants and with Country.
Our honey is a contemporary blend inspired by Australian native ingredients, not a traditional Aboriginal recipe.
From our skincare range to your pantry
Our Australian botanical skincare range and our infused honey share a simple connection: an appreciation for native plants.
While our skincare is made for nourishing the skin, our honey is made to be enjoyed as food. It brings Australian botanical flavours into everyday moments, whether that’s a slow breakfast or a gathering around the table.
Ways to enjoy it
Try a drizzle over warm toast, stir a little through plain yoghurt, or serve it alongside cheese and crackers. You can also spoon it over porridge or use it to add sweetness to a homemade dressing.
Start with a small amount and adjust to your taste, allowing the infused flavours to complement your favourite foods.
Packaged with care
Our Kakadu Plum & Lemon Myrtle Honey is bottled in 4 oz amber glass jars.
Store your jar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, and keep the lid tightly closed. The infused ingredients may settle, so give the honey an occasional stir with a clean, dry spoon to redistribute them.
Honey can naturally crystallise over time. To soften it, place the closed jar in warm, not boiling, water.
From the skincare shelf to the breakfast table, this blend is another expression of what inspires Terra Mata: Australian botanicals and the pleasure of bringing them into everyday life.
